Directed by Jon Watts, the film is a fresh origin story with heart that follows teen Peter Parker (Holland) as he begins to navigate his new superhero identity after his exciting encounter with the Avengers. Under the watchful eye of his new mentor, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), Peter tries to get back to normal life while hoping to prove himself as Spider-Man, and comes face to face with a new villain known as the Vulture (Michael Keaton).
