Leading kids & family content distributor Imira Entertainment has closed a 150+ territory Pay TV deal with Viacom Int’l Media Networks’ Nickelodeon across EMEA, Latin America and Asia Pacific markets for the new non-dialogue slapstick comedy Zelly Go (104 x 1’30”). Produced by Korean studio Dream Factory, the short-form series centers on a group of little jelly-obsessed men and their antics as they struggle to open the world’s only remaining, yet unconquerable, giant jelly capsule. The deal will see the show rollout in UK, GSA, France, Benelux, Scandinavia, Italy, Spain, Portugal, CEE, Russia and CIS, Poland, Israel, Greece, Australia and New Zealand, Sub Saharan Afrca, Latin America, Southeast Asia, India and MENA in 2018. Imira is showcasing Zelly Go and seven other new series at booth R7.H14 during MIP.

ITV Studios Global Entertainment has signed a formats deal which will bring the UK topical sketch show Newzoids to Israel, via pubcaster KAN. The concept, which combines traditional puppeteering and state-of-the-art animation as it lambasts the biggest names in political and pop culture, will be locally produced by Tchanim Ltd.  and We Do Productions. Newzoids is an original production of Citrus Television and Factory for ITV, created by Giles Pilbrow (Citrus) and Phil Chalk (Factory).

Jetpack Distribution has secured a number of deals as it “blasts the best kids’ shows across the planet,” as CEO Dominic Gardiner puts it. The Sisters (52 x 11’, Ages 6-11) from Samka Productions and Bamboo Productions is headed to TV3 (Spain), Channel 8 (Israel), Teletoon+ (Poland), Gulli (Russia), Canal Panda (Portugal) and iflix (Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand); Disney Channel Italy also signed on through a deal with Samka’s agent Redcastle. Season 2 of Jamie’s Got Tentacles (52 x 11’, Ages 6-11), also from Samka, sold to Nat Geo Kids (Latin America), ABC (Australia), TVE (Spain), Gulli, Teletoon+, TVNZ (New Zealand), Canal Panda, TG4 (Ireland), Zoom (Israel), Sun TV Network (India), iflix and PLUSPLUS (Ukraine). And Yoko (52 x 11’, Ages 4-6) from Wizart Animation, Somuga and Dibulitoon Studio was snagged by Nick Jr. (Italy), BBC Kids (Canada), Sun TV Network, Canal Panda, ETV (Estonia), and CTC and O! in Russia.

ZDF Enterprises reports a raft of sales across its varied MIPCOM catalog. On the animation side, ZDFE.junior has secured new sales of Scream Street and season 1 of Jungle Book for CEE-wide SVOD; Hungarian Telekom picked up a program package of roughly 140 hours of animated and live-action content for its Videoteka SVOD service and TVGO Movieclub, including Coconut the Little Dragon and Lassie.

Zodiak Kids has got new partners in the ring for its (52 x 11’) preschool series Kody Kapow, commissioned for Universal Kids’ Sprout block. The action-comedy (which features Jason Alexander as the voice of Kody’s tiger pal, Goji) will head to SVT (Sweden), DeAgostini (Italy), Super3 (Spain), Canal Panda (Portugal), Spectrum (Indonesia) and Discovery Kids (MENA).
