Encore Screenings Added for ‘Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You!’
Due to overwhelming fan demand, the story of how Ash Ketchum’s friendship with Pikachu began is getting two encore screenings on Nov. 11 and 14. The retold origin story, which follows the duo on their search for the Legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh, was released this summer in Japan to mark the franchise’s 20th anniversary with its 20th movie. Fans who purchased tix for the initial Nov. 5 & 6 showings have a shot at never-before-seen trading cards featuring Ash’s Pikachu wearing its Trainer’s hat, and a QR code that unlocks an in-game event and the character in Ultra Sun/Moon.
Interfilm Berlin Celebrates Plymptoons!
The short film fest will welcome “King of Indie Animation” Bill Plympton to share his experiences and insights into everyday survival as an animated filmmaker, plus a selection of his films and a live sketching session on stage! The appearance is set for Nov. 22 at 6:30 p.m. The 3rd interfilm will also offer a number of animated short film programs from Nov. 20-26.

’Cuphead’ – A Knockout! Artist Talk
Go behind the scenes of the gloriously fiendish title which brings 1930s cartooning to modern gaming with MDHR Ent. production team members Tina Nawrocki, Caitlin Russell and Ali Morbi. Schedule for Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. at OCAD University, the talk is presented by Toronto Animated Image Society with Hand Eye Society and OCAD, in partnership with Seneca College, TAAFI and LeFort Talent Group. $5 or FREE for TAIS and HES members, OCAD and Seneca students!

The 28th World Festival of Animated Film is now accepting animated shorts, student films, films for children, Croatian films, and features completed after Jan. 1, 2017. The festival is set for June 4-9, 2018.
