I’ve got a *good* feeling about this..! Disney/Lucasfilm dropped a new teaser trailer for the highly anticipated origin tale Solo: A Star Wars Story, landing in US theaters May 25. The spot gives us a glimpse at the young, rebellious and cocksure Han Solo — the man who would grow up to be a legendary smuggler and hero of the Rebel Alliance.
Synopsis: Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in Solo: A Star Wars Story, an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) befriends his mighty future copilot Chewbacca (reprised by Joonas Suotamo) and meets the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover), in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.
The film also stars Woody Harrelson as Tobias Beckett, Emilia Clarke as Qi’Ra, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Paul Bettany. Solo is directed by Ron Howard from a screenplay by Jon Kasdan and Lawrence Kasdan.
Fingers crossed that this fresh treatment of a well-loved character earns its Corellian Bloodstripes. (And that we get a standalone Lando adventure!)
