Google Spotlight Stories and Nexus Studios are embracing the newly arrived spring season with the virtual reality version of Rain or Shine, directed by Felix Massie, which is available now on Viveport and Steam. Pegged as the studio’s most interactive short to date, the experience allows the viewer can look around and find subplots and surprises, while holding the viewer’s spot in the main view.
The newly launched version introduces new characters and 14 new vignettes in six degrees of freedom, providing more fun, sophisticated audience interaction than ever as characters’ behavior is affected just by being watched (or not watched) by the viewer.
Rain or Shine is also available for Android and iOS via the Google Spotlight Stories app.
Synopsis: The sun is shining, the birds are singing, there’s a spring in everybody’s step. Everyone in London is enjoying a perfect summer’s day…Until Ella steps outside. Everywhere she goes it rains – is she going to ruin everyone’s day forever?
Google Spotlight Stories is bringing Rain or Shine VR, Son of Jaguar and Sonaria to the GLAS Animation Festival this weekend.
