Constantin Picks Up Three Studio 100 Flicks

Studio 100 Media and m4e have closed an agreement with Constantin Film, which has acquired distribution rights to three upcoming animated features: 100% Wolf, Quixotes – The Heirs of La Mancha (2019) and Mia and Me (2020). The deal covers home entertainment, pay TV, free TV and VOD in German-speaking territories.

Martin Moszkowicz, CEO of Constantin Film, commented: “We are delighted to be working together with Ulli Stoef and his team at Studio 100 on three commercially interesting Family Entertainment titles and to exploit these strong brands in the German-speaking territories.”

“We are very happy to have won Germany’s largest independent distributor as a partner for our films and regard it as a special predicate that Martin Moszkowicz and his team at Constantin are involved in several of our films,” said Ulli Stoef, CEO of Studio 100 Media and m4e.

The first Mia and Me movie continues the story of the hybrid series, which follows Mia on her adventures into the magical world of Centropia where she is an elf with the rare gift of talking to unicorns. In the feature, she must stand against a monstrous, evil toad named Toxor, who want to make Centropia his personal poisonous pit. On top of that, he holds the key to her parents’ mysterious disappearance… (Produced by m4e AG; international sales by Studio 100 Film)

Quixotes – The Heirs of La Mancha centers on 11-year-old Alfonso, heir of Don Quixote, who (with his three imaginary and musical rabbits) teams up with Pancho and Victoria to save their beloved town of La Mancha from a huge storm, caused by evil triplets who want to own the land and make it their kingdom. Along the way, Alfonso discovers the power of friendship, falls in love, and gets his father back. The scriptwriter is Carlos Kotkin (Rio 2, Ferdinand). Announced at last year’s Cannes fest, 100% Wolf tells the story of Freddy Lupin, heir to a family of noble werewolves. But on his 13th birthday, Freddy’s first “transwolfation” doesn’t quite go to plan when he turns into a ferocious, furry…poodle?! Just when Freddy thinks life can’t get any worse, he’s groomed against his will, chased into the streets and thrown into dog prison. Can Freddy and his new streetwise friend, Batty, escape? Who is the sinister man following his every move? Despite his pink and fluffy exterior, can Freddy prove he’s still 100% Wolf? (Produced by Flying Bark Prod.; int’l sales by Studio 100 Film).
