‘If You Give a Mouse a Cookie’ Returns to Amazon with New Lisa Loeb Tunes

Six new episodes of Daytime Emmy-nominated Amazon Prime Video original kids’ series If You Give a Mouse a Cookie will premiere June 26 in the US. Inspired by the classic New York Times bestselling books by writer Laura Numeroff and illustrated by Felicia Bond, the 2D animated series follows a mouse and his “pet kid” Oliver, accompanied by new songs from iconic singer-songwriter Lisa Loeb.

Synopsis: If you give a Mouse a cookie, a Dog a donut, a Moose a muffin, a Cat a cupcake or a Pig a pancake, then you know there’s going to be lots of fun and maybe just a little bit of messy. The show features a small mouse with gigantic dreams and ideas. The wonderful world of Mouse and friends comes alive in brilliant color as they visit the Town Fair, Farmer MacNeil’s farm, the museum, the cupcake shop, the toy store or even just the backyard. And much like the beloved books, there’s always some great activity in the works! Whether it’s muffin making, Hoopla playing or Dino chasing, one thing always leads to another, then another, then another!

The curriculum revolves around a narrative structure teaching cause and effect and encouraging kids’ imagination and creativity, using the if/then structure from the books to unravel endless possibilities.

Loeb, known for her hit songs “Stay” and “I Do,” composed 13 original tracks for season one of If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, and the new episodes premiering June 26 will feature six new songs. All of Loeb’s original music for the series will be available on Amazon Music the same day, as well as her previous Amazon Original children’s albums including Feel What U Feel, Nursery Rhyme Parade and Lullaby Girl.
