‘Masha and the Bear’ Expands to Spanish-Language U.S.

Animaccord is extending the reach of its hit animated family series Masha and the Bear in the States thanks to a new partnership with leading Spanish-speaking U.S. media company Univision Communications. The mischievous CG comedy is now broadcasting on both the UniMás and Galavisión.

Masha and the Bear has broadcast in the US in English on Universal Kids since 2017.

The Season 1 debut on Univision channels follows the successful arrival of Masha and her furry friend in Latin America. Univision also plans to air Season 2 of Masha and the Bear, as well as spin-off series Masha’s Tales and Masha’s Spooky Stories.

Univision Enterprises has furthermore been appointed the licensing agent in charge of developing promotional partnerships throughout the US and Puerto Rico, effective immediately. UE and Animaccord will work to build Masha’s licensing programs at retail by leveraging Univision’s significant multimedia platforms and connection with Hispanic Americans.
