‘Rainbow Rangers’ Makes Colorful Debut on Nick Jr. Monday

Genius Brands International’s animated, ecologically-minded preschool series Rainbow Rangers (52 x 11’) will make its world premiere on Nick Jr. on Monday, November 5 at 3 p.m. The show has been developed and produced by a pedigreed team including Rob Minkoff (The Lion King director), Shane Morris (Frozen co-writer), Tim Mansfield and Emmy nominee Elise Allen (Dinosaur Train, Lion Guard, Barbie specials) who is serving as head writer and co-creator.

Rainbow Rangers follows the thrilling adventures of seven girls with distinct personalities and powers who are Earth’s first responders, protecting people, animals, resources and the natural beauty of our world. Whenever there’s trouble, these heroines zoom into action from the magical land of Kaleidoscopia and ride their Spectra Scooters across the rainbow to save the day. The Rainbow Rangers also struggle with daily dramas and hilarious mishaps, while empowering and encouraging kids to make a difference.

Genius Brands’ Chairman & CEO and multiple Emmy winner Andy Heyward serves as executive producer, with legendary Disney artists Ruben Aquino (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid) creating key designs.

To mark the launch, Genius Brands is hosting an event at Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square NYC on Nov. 6, to showcase the brand to investors.

Heyward and top Company executives will deliver a presentation highlighting the economics of the consumer products program for Rainbow Rangers across the U.S., as well as in key territories around the world, many of which have already licensed the series. A senior executive from Mattel will speak, as well as key licensees from select consumer product categories. The retail program will launch in the U.S. for back-to-school 2019 (July/August).

Coinciding with the event, clips of Rainbow Rangers will be streamed on the Nasdaq LIVE channel, as well as an interview with Heyward and a Mattel executive, and the Nasdaq Jumbotron in Times Square will feature Rainbow Rangers throughout the day. Shelly Hirsch, founder of The Beacon Media Group — the single largest children’s media buyer in the U.S. — will also be speaking. Guests will receive an exclusive collectible Rainbow Rangers commemorative limited edition piece of animation art signed by the series’ creators.
