The winners of the second annual Emile Awards, voted by the members of the European Animation Awards org, were announced Saturday at a ceremony in the swanky Le Nouveau Siècle event hall in Lille, France. The 18 winners honored this year among many worthy nominees.
The night’s big winners were Cartoon Network series The Heroic Quest of the Valiant Prince Ivandoe, which scored four awards in the television category; and Oscar-nominated feature film The Breadwinner, which won four of the feature film category prizes. Emma De Swaef and Marc James Roels also added another notch in their filmmaking belts by winning the short film direction prize for festival favorite This Magnificent Cake!
