Beijing to Showcase Animation Is Film Festival Spinoff

Indie studio GKIDS and Beijing Film Panorama are presenting the Animation Is Film Beijing as part of the upcoming Beijing Intl. Film Festival (BJIFF), April 13-20. This spin-off of the popular L.A. animation festival which runs in October will be the largest slate of non-Chinese feature animation titles to be screened in China. (Many of the Beijing festival’s titles were originally showcased at the 2018 festival in L.A.)

Next month’s Animation Is Film Beijing festival will feature the Oscar-nominated title Mirai, European Film Award-winner Another Day of Life, the hit anime Dragon Ball Super: Broly, and the Animation Is Film jury prize winner Buñuel in the Labyrinth of the Turtles.
