FOX TV has announced its fall premiere dates for 2019-2020. The season will kick off with the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards, airing live coast-to-coast from Microsoft Theater at L.A. LIVE on Sunday, September 22 (8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT) — co-produced by Don Mischer Prod. and Done+Dusted. Nominations will be announced July 16.
Animation Domination will return Sunday, Sept. 39, with the premieres of The Simpsons unprecedented 31st season (8 p.m. ET/PT), the series premiere of all-new animated comedy Bless the Harts (8:30 p.m. ET/PT), the 10th season of Bob’s Burgers (9 p.m. ET/PT, in its new regular time slot) and the 17th season of Family Guy (9:30 p.m. ET/PT, new regular time slot).
Created and executive-produced by Emmy Award winner Emily Spivey (The Last Man on Earth, Parks and Recreation, Saturday Night Live), Bless the Harts follows the Harts, a Southern family that is always broke, and forever struggling to make ends meet. They one day hope to achieve the American dream, but they’re already rich – in friends, family and laughter.
The series features the voices of Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids, Saturday Night Live), Emmy Award and Screen Actors Guild Award nominee Maya Rudolph (The Good Place, Bridesmaids), Emmy Award nominee Jillian Bell (Workaholics, Fist Fight), Ike Barinholtz (Blockers), Fortune Feimster (Office Christmas Party, Chelsea Lately), Drew Tarver (The Other Two) and Mary Steenburgen (The Last Man on Earth, Curb Your Enthusiasm). Executive producers on the series include Academy Award winners Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, The LEGO Movie franchise, The Last Man on Earth) and Kristen Wiig.
FOX is also premiering darkly comedic crime series Prodigal Son from Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter (Riverdale) on Sept. 23 at 9 p.m., and drama Almost Family from EP Jason Katims (Parenthood) and writer Annie Weisman (Desperate Housewives) on Oct. 2 at 9 p.m.
Season premieres include 9-1-1 S3 (Sept. 23, 8 p.m.), The Resident S3 (Sept. 24, 8 p.m.), Empire S6 (Sept. 24, 9 p.m.), The Masked Singer S2 (Sept. 25, 8 p.m.), Thursday Night Football (Sept. 26) and WWE’s Smackdown Live (Oct. 4).
