REGISTRATION OPEN: Cartoon Springboard 2019
The three-day event (September 30-October 2) will introduce young talents from the best European animation schools as they pitch their projects to a panel of experts; plus, up-and-comers will benefit from a special storytelling workshop and keynotes by industry pros. Mousse and Bichon — pitched by La Poudriere students last year — has been picked up by prodco Vivement Lundi! and will be presented at Cartoon Forum this fall!

The conservative group believes that two women seen in the background dropping off a child at Bonnie’s kindergarten is a “subtle” insert meant to “desensitize children” to “controversial topics.” Thank goodness that this petition has come out to expose this issue — almost forgot to donate to my favorite LGBTQ+ charity this month.
Studio Ghibli Fest 2019 Continues with ‘Kiki’s Delivery Service: 30th Anniversary
Hayao Miyazaki’s plucky young witch returns to the big screen across the U.S. through GKIDS and Fathom Events. The film is screening Sunday, July 28 (matinee, English dub); Mon. July 29 (evening, sub) and Wed. July 31 (evening, dub).
Synopsis: It is a tradition for all young witches to leave their families on the night of a full moon and fly off into the wide world to learn their craft. When that night comes for Kiki, she embarks on her new journey with her sarcastic black cat, Jiji, landing the next morning in a seaside village, where her unique skills make her an instant sensation.
