Award-winning kids’ entertainment distributor PGS Entertainment has secured new leading broadcasters for the reboot of popular ‘80s toon Denver the Last Dinosaur, from award-winning producers ON kids & family and Zagtoon (Miraculous Ladybug, Zak Storm) and commissioned by M6 and Globosat. New partners across 30 territories include Globosat (Brazil), TVA (Fr. Canada), RTBF (Fr. Belgium), Medialaan (Fl. Belgium), Minimax (Eastern Europe), MTVA (Hungary), Canal+ (Poland), TV Puls (Poland), Lattlecom (Latvia) and TVNZ (New Zealand).
Aimed at kids 4-8, Denver the Last Dinosaur follows the adventures of Denver, an anthropomorphic dinosaur raised by humans. With his human “brother,” Harry, and their friends Charlotte (the local blogger) and Dan (a would-be superhero), they form an intrepid little group called the Dinopals, who experience incredible adventures. Although updated for a new generation, the new series stays true to the comedy and amazing California beach universe of the original, fueling early success for the relaunch.
“Denver the Last Dinosaur has a proven track record. Quite popular in the ‘80s, the new series is proving the franchise’s continuing appeal. We’re very excited about the new partners now on board, and our ability to bring the adventures of Denver to kids around the world,” said Guillaume Soutter, co-founder of PGS.
ON kids & family president and producer Aton Soumache commented, “Denver the Last Dinosaur brings back the fun, memorable characters and stories that parents enjoyed watching when they were growing up and can now enjoy with their children. The new, updated look brings a fresh twist to the universe, while still maintaining the beautiful California beach setting. We’re thrilled to share the fun stories of Denver and his friends with a global audience.”
