A space-faring heroine out of history is ready to make an animated impact on NBC’s new streaming service Peacock when it launches this Wednesday, July 15. Produced by DreamWorks Animation, Cleopatra in Space will blaze a trail as one of the platform’s first original series. Ahead of the debut, we’re royally delighted to present the show’s time-traveling opening sequence.

Viewers can follow Cleo as she is transported 30,000 years into the future, to an Egyptian-themed planet that is ruled by talking cats and where she discovers she is the prophesied saviour of the future world.
In order to prepare for her role and mission, Cleo is sent to an elite academy where she has to train to take on the bad guys, figure out how to eventually get herself back home to Egypt, as well as tackling the highs and lows of being a teenager in high school.
The voice cast features Lilimar Hernandez (Bella and the Bulldogs, Knight Squad) as Cleopatra, Katie Crown (Storks) as Akila, Jorge Diaz (Paranormal Activity, Days of Our Lives) as Brian, Sendhil Ramamurthy (Heroes, Covert Affairs) as Khensu, Sumalee Montano (10 Cloverfield Lane, This Is Us) as Khepra, Jonathan Kite (Two Broke Girls) as Octavian / Gozi, and Kari Wahlgren (Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, Rick and Morty) as Yosira.
