Tony and Grammy-winning performer Renée Elise Goldberry (Hamilton, Fast and Furious: Spy Racers) stars as Melodia on the new DreamWorks’ Dragons Rescue Riders Special: Secrets of the Songwing set to premiere on Netflix on July 25. This 45-minute sing-along special finds the Rescue Riders having to use the magic of song to save their friends from a majestic songwing who hypnotizes humans and dragons.
The musical special is executive produced by Emmy winner Jack Thomas (Regular Show, DreamWorks Dragons: Race to the Edge) and co-executive produced by Brian Roberts (DreamWorks VeggieTales).
In addition to Goldberry, the show features the voices of Marsai Martin (Little, Black-ish), Zach Callison (Steven Universe, The Goldbergs, Just Add Magic), Skai Jackson (Jessie, Bunk’d, Bubble Guppies, The Smurfs), Noah Bentley (Adam Ruins Everything, Reel Kids, Afternoon Delight), Andre Robinson (Hotel Transylvania 2, Doc McStuffins) and Cassidy Naber (Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures, American Horror Story). The series also features the voice talents of Nicolas Cantu, Brennley Brown, Carlos Alazraqui, Moira Quirk, Roshon Fegan and Brad Grusnick. Additional cast includes John C. MicGinley and Tara Strong.
