In Friday’s new episode of Mira, Royal Detective, world renowned actress, chef and cookbook author Madhur Jaffrey and her daughter, actress Sakina Jaffrey (House of Cards) guest star as Mrs. Chopra andMrs. Kapadia, who both enlist Mira’s help when some of their valuables go missing. The case unfolds in “Mystery on the Waterfront,” airing in the 8:30-9:00 a.m. EST time slot on Disney Channel.
“A funny thing happened the other day. I was sent an episode of Mira, Royal Detective, an animated series for children set in India. I had done one of the voices so politeness suggested I be sent a copy,” Madhur Jaffrey shared. “Well, I watched it, then I watched it again, then I watched it again. I was mesmerized. I am a gazillion years old but it drew me in just as it would a child.”
