Cartoon Network is bringing all the excitement, adventure, and laughs expected on spring break with Spring Breakaway — a two-week programming event sure to surprise and delight families looking for an escape from school, zoom calls and homework. The ultimate staycation kicks off March 29 with the series premiere of the new sci-fi adventure comedy Elliott from Earth and continues for 14 days with a robust line-up of action adventure-themed shows and movies to keep kids and families engaged, entertained and in vacation mode.
Headlining the virtual spring break bash is a three-day debut event for the previously announced Ben 10 specials. The alien-fighting extravaganza begins Friday, April 9 with the U.S. premieres of Ben 10,010, followed by Ben Gen 10 Saturday, April 10, and Alien X-tinction Sunday, April 11. Each 44-minute episode is based on the global hit series produced by Cartoon Network Studios and created and executive produced by Man of Action Entertainment (Big Hero 6, Generator Rex).
Ben 10,010 features the return of Ben 10,000, while Ben Gen 10 marks the long-awaited reappearance of Generator Rex and Alien X-tinction showcases the first-ever meeting of various iterations of Ben 10 characters from past series. Tara Strong (Teen Titans Go!) returns to voice the title character Ben Tennyson and is joined by fellow cast members Montse Hernandez (Coco) and David Kaye (DuckTales). The specials will also be available to watch on the Cartoon Network app and VOD following the linear airings.
Additional Spring Breakaway programming will feature a new episode of Teen Titans Go!, the season three premiere of Total Dramarama, and fan-favorite episodes of Craig of the Creek, Victor and Valentino and The Amazing World of Gumball. Cartoon Network will also air a packed schedule of epic movies the whole family will enjoy including the network premieres of Despicable Me (sponsored by Nintendo Switch) and Despicable Me 2, plus showings of Shrek 2, How to Train Your Dragon, The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part and so much more.
