Sony Animation Exec Alison Mann Launches Prodco with Fourth Wall

Alison Mann, formerly Vice President of Creative Strategy for Sony Pictures Animation and co-founder/CEO of BRIC Foundation, is launching a new animation production company in partnership with talent agency Fourth Wall Management. Mann will be Co-President of the new shingle, Fourth Wall Animation, and will work with the Fourth Wall team to identify IP, develop original content and sign on new voices and established talent in the industry.

Mann will also join Fourth Wall Management as a Talent Manager, handling a growing list of clients including Jimmy Craig (The Secret Life of Pets), Sophie Koko Gate (Slug Life), John Hoffman (Luca), Donna Lee (Raya and the Last Dragon), Dan Serafin (The Thundermans), Michelle Staphylas (Kung Fu Panda 3) and Olivier Staphylas (Abominable). The 20-year industry veteran told Deadline, “I am excited to join forces with [founder] Jon Huddle and Fourth Wall to start this animation production company to push the boundaries of this medium, not only in themes and story but in design.”

The company’s existing animation roster includes Trent Correy (Once Upon a Snowman), Hamish Grieve (Rumble), Jenn Kluska (Hotel Transylvania: Transformania), Meghan Malloy (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse), Zach Parrish (Raya and the Last Dragon), Aram Spencer Porter (We Bare Bears), Ian Jones-Quartey (Steven Universe), Pam Pettler (Corpse Bride), Fergal Reilly (The Angry Birds Movie), Stephanie Stine (Raya and the Last Dragon), Rebecca Sugar (Steven Universe), Jeff Westbrook (The Simpsons) and Henry Yu (Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation).

Prior to Sony Pictures Animation, Mann worked on television, film and gaming projects for leading studios including Illumination Entertainment (VP Talent), Paramount Pictures / Animation, Nickelodeon, Walt Disney Animation Studios, MTV, Disney Interactive and Zynga. Her resume includes work on high profile animated projects such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Tangled, Wreck-It Ralph, Secret Life of Pets, Despicable Me, The Grinch and Vivo. She is a co-founder of BRIC Foundation, a group whose goal is to create new access points for women and other underrepresented groups to excel in creative leadership.

Fourth Wall Animation will be based in L.A. out of the company’s newly purchased building on Fairfax.
