WarnerMedia, Think Tank Launch Digital Arts Scholarships for Underrepresented Canadians

WarnerMedia Access Canada has partnered with Think Tank Training to sponsor five full-time tuition scholarships for the Think Tank Online 16-month Digital Asset Creation Program. The Doers and Dreamers Digital Arts Scholarships are open to people of all genders, abilities and identities from underrepresented communities in Canada, including members of Indigenous, Black and racialized groups, people with disabilities, LGBTQ2+ and Francophone minority communities.

The Think Tank Online 16-month Digital Asset Creation Program aims to advance the careers of students in television, feature film, visual effects or video games through the opportunity to develop their digital art skills. Think Tank’s programs are carefully structured to support creative growth from day one, with a focus on transformation and industry preparation, and other crucial skills to building a career in the entertainment industry.

“We know that there are big challenges in the world when it comes to equity, inclusion and diversity and we want to be a part of making positive change in this area. In fact, the philosophy for Think Tank is that we – including our students – would rather change the world than simply be a part of it,” said Scott Thompson, Think Tank’s owner. “We are excited to partner with WarnerMedia Access Canada on this scholarship program. This scholarship will provide five talented individuals from underrepresented communities with the ability to hone their creative skills and talent. We look forward to reviewing the applications for these scholarships.”

“WarnerMedia is a tech-forward company that is actively seeking talent from around the world, and this wonderful partnership just makes perfect sense,” said Deanna Cadette, Executive Director, WarnerMedia Access Canada. “The careers of the future require the powerful combination of creativity and technology, so we’re very proud to work with Think Tank to find those innovative Doers and Dreamers in underserved communities across the country.”

Scholarship Details: Think Tank Training Centre is looking for the next generation of visionaries who want to shape the world – individuals who want to revolutionize the industry by doing things that no one has done before. They are not just looking for great people; they are looking for people the world can’t do without.

The scholarship award-winners will develop marketable skills, benefit from mentorship opportunities, and gain unprecedented connections to industry knowledge from the Think Tank community and WarnerMedia Access Canada executives and creatives.
