Netflix today unveiled the official trailer for its Saturday Morning All Star Hits! (or S.M.A.S.H.!) — an adult animation/live-action series which morphs the millennial childhood nostalgia into a darkly comedic fever dream. The series is slated to debut Friday, December 10.
The eight-episode odyssey hails from co-creators/exec producers Kyle Mooney (Saturday Night Live) and Ben Jones (Stone Quackers, The Problem Solverz), Creative Director of Bento Box Entertainment.
Synopsis: Saturday Morning All Star Hits! is an adult animated and live-action hybrid series celebrating all that is 80s and 90s television. Wildly irreverent and slightly disturbing, twin hosts Skip and Treybor (Kyle Mooney) take us on a trip through the Saturday Morning cartoon experience.
The series is a Broadway Video and Universal Television production, with animation by Fox-owned Bento Box. Executive producers are Lorne Michaels, Andrew Singer, Katy Jenson (Broadway Video); Scott Greenberg and Joel Kuwahara (Bento Box); Dave McCary; and Scott Gairdner.
