‘My Fairy Troublemaker’ Takes Flight with Global Screen Presales

Global Screen, a TELEPOOL brand, announces a raft of presales for 3D-animated feature film My Fairy Troublemaker, produced by Fabrique d’Images SA, Ella Filmproduktion GmbH and SERU Animation GmbH & Co KG.

In the movie, Violetta, a curious and cheeky fairy, smuggles herself into the human world. By chance, she meets a 12-year-old human girl, Maxie, who feels lost in the city and whose biggest wish is to return to the countryside. The two brave heroines strike a secret deal. But things turn upside down and they find themselves in a thrilling race against time and in an adventure larger than life.

The family fantasy adventure, billed as a charming, suspenseful and high-end animated film, has been sold to U.K. and Ireland (Signature Entertainment), Australia and New Zealand (Rialto), Spain and Portugal (Big Picture Films), Italy (Koch), Scandinavia (Selmer Media), Poland (Kino Swiat), CIS (Silver Box), Ukraine (UFD), Baltics (Garsu Pasaulio), former Yugoslavia (Karantanija), Bulgaria (Pro Films), Middle East (Gulf Film), South Korea (Big Film), Malaysia (Suraya) and Vietnam (Lightening McQueen).

The screenplay for My Fairy Troublemaker is written by Silja Clemens based on an idea by Maite Woköck, who also serves as producer for Ella Filmproduktion alongside Jean-Marie Musique and Christine Parisse (Fabrique d’Images) and Sebastian Runschke (SERU Animation). Caroline Origer is the director.

My Fairy Troublemaker currently is in production and delivery is expected for Q2 2022. Global Screen will present new scenes at EFM.

“In the beginning, our young heroine Maxie will remind a lot of the audience about their own lives, as she needs to adapt to her way of living including a new stepbrother and new surroundings,” explains Julia Weber, Head of Acquisitions & Sales at Global Screen. “Suddenly when tooth fairy Violetta shows up, the fun, adventure and action kicks off and, with a lot of heart and magic, My Fairy Troublemaker will make the audience laugh about the little weaknesses we all have and understand that, with a real friend, everything is possible.”
