This weekend, POGO (India) will introduce a new series of heroic animated adventures with The Pandavas. Seasons 1 and 2 of the Indian co-production (13 x half-hour) will roll out exclusively on the kids’ cable channel starting April 23, with new episodes every weekend.
Produced in collaboration with Kolkota’s Hi-Tech Animation, the action-packed CGI series takes inspiration from local legends and mythological tale. The show chronicles the lives of the five Pandava princes — righteous Yudhishtir, powerful Bheem, astute Arjun, adventurous Nakul and valiant Sahadev — in their days as students.
“The Pandavas is an epic tale, told with a contemporary approach that’s both entertaining and exhilarating,” said Leslie Lee, Head of POGO, Cartoon Network & Boomerang in Asia Pacific. “The whole family will enjoy the show’s funny and nuanced characters as they demonstrate the true meaning of sibling bonds.”
Two additional seasons of The Pandavas are in development, promising more perilous adventures and heroic battles.
POGO is Warner Bros.
