This holiday season, families are invited to journey into South America and be enchanted by the exciting adventure of a brave young girl and the splendor of the Amazon — the fragrant flora, exotic animals and ancient trees hanging above in the animated feature Ainbo: Spirit of the Amazon. The multi-continent co-pro combines the mesmerizing beauty of the Amaozn Rainforest with an inspiring message about protecting the environment.
On November 29, Shout! Kids, in collaboration with Cinema Management Group, will present Ainbo: Spirit of the Amazon to the U.S. movie audiences for the first time on DVD and available for digital download and on-demand.
Based on a story by award-winning filmmaker José Zelada (Kayara, Searching for Hearts), Ainbo: Spirit of the Amazon is an inspiring, vibrant fantasy-adventure about a young heroine and her thrilling journey to save the endangered Amazon Rainforest.

Synopsis: A world of adventure awaits in Ainbo: Spirit of the Amazon, the tale of a young girl determined to save her home in the deepest jungle of the rainforest. One day, Ainbo discovers that her homeland is being threatened and realizes that there are other humans in the world besides her people. Using the help of her spirit guides, Dillo the armadillo and Vaca the tapir, she embarks on a journey to seek help from the most powerful Mother Spirit of the Amazon, Turtle Motelo Mama. As she fights to save her paradise against the greed and exploitation of illegal gold mining, she struggles to reverse the destruction and the impending evil of the Yacaruna, the darkest demon that lives in the Amazon.
