It’s a good weekend to be a fan of action-packed animated shows as Netflix unveils the third season of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and the first season of Tekken: Bloodline.
The third season of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe centers on mighty teen Adam and his heroic squad of misfits as they discover the legendary power of Grayskull and their destiny to defend Eternia from sinister Skeletor. Just like the second season, Season 3 has eight half-hour episodes. Produced by Mattel TV, with animation done by House of Cool and CGCG, the show first premiered on Netflix in Sept. 2021. Adam Bonnett, Rob David, Christopher Keenan and Frederic Soulie are exec producers and Susan Corbin is producer.
The show has a top-notch voice cast, which includes Yuri Lowenthal and Prince Adam/He-Man, Kimberly Brooks as Teela/Sorceress, Benjamin Diskin as Keldor/Skeltor, David Kay as Cringer, and Anthony Del Rio as Duncan. Other famous voices include Grey Griffin, Fred Tatasciore, Tom Kenny, Stephen Fry, Bobcat Goldthwait, Dee Bradley Smith, Kevin Smith, Stephanie Sheh, Geroge Takei, Wallace Shawn and Kevin Conroy.

Tekken: Bloodline is based on the popular and long-running video game of the same name, which was first released by Bandai Namco in Dec. 1994. The plotline centers on Jin Kazama, who learned the family self-defense arts (Kazama-style traditional martial arts) from his mother at an early age. Yet, he is powerless when a monstrous Ogre destroys everything dear to him and changes his life forever. The hot-tempered Jin vows revenge and seeks absolute power to exact the crime, aided by his grandfather Heihachi Mishima. His quest will lead to the ultimate battle on a global stage — the King of Iron Fist Tournament.
Directed by Yoshikazu Miyao, the six-part series features the voices of Kaji Tang, Vivian Lu and S. Hiroshi Watanabe. The series is produced by Netflix Animation and Bandai Namco, and is loosely based on the events of Tekken 3.
