GKIDS will bring writer/director Atsuko Ishizuka’s acclaimed new feature Goodbye-Don Glees! to select U.S. theaters on Wed. Sept 14 (Japanese language), Sat. Sept 18 (English dub) and Tues. Sept 20 (Japanese language. The distributor has also revealed the English-lingo cast and released a new trailer for the film.
The English-language cast are: Adam McArthur (Roma), Nick Wolfhard (Toto), Jonathan Leon (Drop), Victoria Grace (Tivoli), Barbara Goodson (Mrs. Ando) and Stephanie Sheh (Roma’s Mother)

Produced by Madhouse Studio, Goodbye, Don Glees! centers on three outsider friends whose plan to appear cool and popular backfires and sparks a life-changing experience. The film, which was released in Japan in February, features the voices of Ayumu Murase, Natsuki Hanae Kamado, Kana Hanazawa and Yuuki Kaji.
Goodbye, Don Glees! marks director Atsuko Ishizuka’s first feature follow-up after her critically acclaimed series A Place Further Than the Universe. Praised for its luminescent animation and lush backdrops, the coming-of-age story about the fearlessness of being young and the bittersweet journey of self-discovery, was one of the feature titles in competition at Annecy earlier this year.
