PoC Studios, Man of Action, Creation Station & Composition Slate 3D Feature ‘Sky & Luna’

People of Culture Studios and Composition Media are tooning up their partnership slate by announcing, together with the animation pros at Man of Action Entertainment (Ben 10, Big Hero 6) and Creation Station, the 3D animated family feature project Sky & Luna.

Based on original IP from Creation Station co-founders Dillon Gemmill and Omar Spahi, the movie will follow Sky, a lonely 11-year-old who finally founds a new best friend who is totally out of this world … literally. Luna is a shapeshifting alien sent to study humankind on Earth, who ends up hunted by a top-secret government agency tasked with taking out any extraterrestrial threats — which just happens to be run by Sky’s mother.

Man of Action’s Duncan Rouleau will make his feature directorial debut on Sky & Luna, which is scripted by Second City cast member Patricia Villetto (OMG!, Swamp Talk with Shrek & Donkey) and produced by Oscar winner Carl Reed (Hair Love), co-founder of Lion Forge Comics and Lion Forge Animation, alongside MoA, Creation Station and PoC Studios’ CCO Andy Cosby (Hellboy), with PoC co-founder/CEO Labid Aziz and John Cappetta executive producing.

“I’m super excited to work with the Man of Action and Creation Station teams,” Reed told Deadline. “They are dream creative partners and fit so well into the strategy and plan Labid and I put into motion just last year. We set out to challenge paradigms and put talent and artists first and create real strategies that keep the value with those who deserve it and have earned it. ‘Sky & Luna’ is not only going to be a great film, it’s also going to set a new standard for doing business better.”

PoC is overseeing production and handling global distribution for Sky & Luna.

Rouleau is represented by Scott Agostoni Management and The Cook Company; Villetto by The Gotham Group.
