Vancouver-based Arcana Studio has launched Arcanamation, a new animation distribution company focusing on all-ages animation. According to the studio, the new division was created to distribute profitable brands through original productions, as well as by producing and releasing content through the world’s top broadcasting and streaming partners. Distributing engaging animated stories for all audiences worldwide, Arcanamation has a proven track record of distribution in 150+ countries worldwide.
Studio CEO Sean Patrick O’Reilly commented, “Sales and licensing has changed so much since Arcana distributed Pixies in 2015. Video on demand, both AVOD and SVOD, have grown in leaps in bounds and we are looking for yielding the highest profit margins, while maximizing exposure across the world’s top platforms.”
Arcanamation’s titles can be found on Peacock, Tubi, FreeVee, Amazon Prime and the yet to be released Heroes of the Golden Mask will be debuting at the AFM this November
Arcana owns one of the biggest libraries of graphic novels and comics, with over 300 original intellectual properties, hundreds of graphic novels and a treasure trove of thousands of characters. Arcana’s high quality branded entertainment is filled with characters and stories that transcend gender age, cultural and geographic boundaries.
Corrective Measures starring Michael Rooker and Bruce Willis was based on the comic book property that Arcana oversaw from script to screen including writing, directing, producing and financing. Arcana has also produced ten animated feature films including The Clockwork Girl, the Howard Lovecraft trilogy, Pixies and Go Fish. Arcana Studio is also currently in production on the live-action feature film American Wasteland, the animated movies Heroes of the Golden Mask and Ultraduck, as well as the animated series My Brother the Monster and Go Fish+.
