Get ready for a whole new world of Jim Henson Company puppets this fall as Apple TV+ debuts the charming preschool show Slumberkins on Nov. 4th. Featuring music by Emmy-nominated singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson, the show mixes animation and puppetry to bring to life characters from the beloved learning brand SLumberkins to life.
The voice cast voice cast introduces young newcomers Brayden Morgan as Bigfoot, Olive Baity as Unicorn, Miles Flack as Sloth, Araceli Prasarttongosoth as Yak, and Yonas Kibreab as Fox with narration by Jennifer Hale (Ralph Breaks the Internet). Additional voice cast includes Jason Ritter as Fox’s Father, Pamela Adlon as Fox’s Mother, Adelynn Spoon as Kit, Yvette Nicole Brown as Yak’s mother, and Josh Banday as Bigfoot’s Father.
Slumberkins is created for television by Alex Rockwell (Word Party, Pajanimals). The Jim Henson Company’s Halle Stanford executive produces alongside Rockwell. Callie Christensen (MIT, Elementary Education and Special Education) and Kelly Oriard (M.S., Counseling and Marriage Therapy & School Counseling), creators of the Slumberkins education brand, serve as co-executive producers of the series.
The show joins Apple TV+s other kids and family slate which includes El Deafo, Lovely Little Farm, Duck & Goose, Pinecone & Pony, Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock and Harriet the Spy from The Jim Henson Company, Peabody Award-winning series Stillwater, Helpsters from Sesame Workshop, Wolfboy and the Everything Factory from Joseph Gordon-Levitt, HITRECORD and Bento Box Entertainment, Sago Mini Friends, Hello, Jack! The Kindness Show from Jack McBrayer and Angela C. Santomero, Snoopy in Space, The Snoopy Show and Get Rolling with Otis. Upcoming shows include Interrupting Chicken, and Jane, a new mission-driven series from J.J. Johnson, Sinking Ship Entertainment and the Jane Goodall Institute.
