Disney Branded Television has opened the doors to Lunella’s secret lab with the reveal of the official trailer for Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur! It was also announced that fans can catch some Moon Girl Magic on Disney+, where the first six episodes will be available to stream starting February 15, following the Disney Channel premiere on February 10.
Further, DBTV revealed that previously announced guest stars Jennifer Hudson and Daveed Diggs will be providing the voices of featured Season 1 supervillains Mane and Rat King, respectively.
The trailer is accompanied by new key art as well as a pre-save link for the energetic comic-book adaptation’s soundtrack, created by series executive music director and three-time Grammy Award winner Raphael Saadiq. Pre-save to Spotify or Apple Music here (streaming February 10).
Synopsis: Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur follows the adventures of 13-year-old super-genius Lunella Lafayette (a.k.a. Moon Girl) and her 10-ton T-Rex, Devil Dinosaur. After Lunella accidentally brings Devil Dinosaur into present-day New York City, the duo work together to protect the city’s Lower East Side from danger.
The series stars Diamond White as Lunella/Moon Girl; Fred Tatasciore as Devil Dinosaur; Alfre Woodard as Lunella’s grandmother, Mimi; Libe Barer as Lunella’s best friend and manager, Casey; Sasheer Zamata as Lunella’s mom, Adria; Jermaine Fowler as Lunella’s dad, James Jr.; Gary Anthony Williams as Lunella’s grandfather, Pops; and series executive producer Laurence Fishburne in the recurring role of The Beyonder, a curious and mischievous trickster.
