The first images from the latest intrepid adventure for the Peanuts gang have beamed in, offering a look at the innovative, immersive and educational new live entertainment experience All Systems Are Go, opening tomorrow (Friday, March 24) at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex outside Orlando, Florida.
Commissioned form Ella Louise Allaire and Martin Lord Ferguson of Montreal-based production company Monlove (Scooby-Doo! and the Lost City of Gold), the 20-minute show features beloved Charles Schultz characters including Snoopy, Woodstock, Charlie Brown, Sally, Linus, Lucy, Franklin and Schroeder, appearing as four- to five-foot-tall articulated characters operated by puppeteers.
On stage, the Peanuts gang will narrate the history of NASA, the Artemis missions (which will land the first woman and first person of color on the Moon as well as establishing the first long-term presence there) and the space program’s future plans.
Executive producers Allaire and Ferguson created the original concept, story and music for the experience. To create an immersive environment for family audiences, Monlove transformed the visitor complex’s 300-seat Universe Theater with Dolby Atmos sound, motorized scrims and more than 20 integrated laser projectors. Using an AR smartphone app, audience members can scan the venue to discover more surprises.
