Sinners Face Off with Demons in ‘Hell’s Paradise,’ New on Crunchyroll Saturday

Crunchyroll is ready to kick off its Spring 2023 anime season with the debut of new series Hell’s Paradise this weekend. Produced by MAPPA, the show follows a doomed criminal whose only escape from his punishment can be found on a strange and extremely dangerous island.

Series premieres Saturday, April 1 at 8:30 a.m. PDT, exclusively streaming on Crunchyroll.

Synopsis: Gabimaru reigns as the strongest and most ruthless assassin in his village. But now finds himself on death row — with only one way out: retrieve the Elixir of Life from a sinister island. Longing for freedom, he accepts the challenge. But with fellow convicts vying for the same prize and demonic beasts lurking, how will Gabimaru and his handler, the executioner Yamada Asaemon Sagiri, survive this harrowing quest?

Hell’s Paradise is directed by Kaori Makita from an original story by Yuji Kaku and series composition by Akira Kindaichi. The show features character designs by Kouji Hisaki and music by Yoshiaki Dewa.
