The heroic voice cast of Creature Commandos, the first animated series project announced for DC Universe Chapter 1: Gods & Monsters, was revealed today. The seven-episode series announced by DC creative heads James Gunn and Peter Safran earlier this year will center on the crack military monster squad. The show is being produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC Studios for Max and DC Universe, a release date is yet to be announced.
Reprising his The Suicide Squad role, Sean Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy) will provide the voice of animalistic supervilliain Weasel as well as the mechanical super soldier G.I. Robot. The cast also features Frank Grillo (Avengers: Endgame) as Rick Flag Sr., Maria Bakalova (Borat Subsequent Moviefilm) as Princess Ilana Rostovic, David Harbour (Stranger Things) as Eric Frankenstein, Indira Varma (Game of Thrones) as The Bride, Zoe Chao (The Afterparty) as Dr. Nina Mazursky and Alan Tudyk (Harley Quinn) as Dr. Phosphorous.
Steve Agee (The Suicide Squad, Peacemaker) returns as John Economos, who will be the team’s handler in the animated series.
