Sterling, Lana, Cyril and the other violently incompetent agents of long-running animated primetime comedy Archer will bid fans adieu after the upcoming 14th season. The show’s official Twitter account confirmed “the final season” today, which will premiere August 30 with two new episodes starting at 10 p.m. PT/ET on FXX, with next-day streaming on Hulu.
Created by Adam Reed (Frisky Dingo, Sealab 2021), Archer premiered in 2009 on FX, later moving to FXX in 2017. The half-hour, noir-inspired 2D comedy centers on self absorbed super spy Sterling Archer (voiced by H. Jon Benjamin) and his colleagues as they navigate the changing world of espionage. Season 14 will see Lana Kane (Aisha Tyler) at the helm of The Agency — her goal is to make money while also making the world a better place, but she soon finds out the spy game isn’t so cut and dry behind the big desk.
The series also features the voices of Judy Greer as Cheryl/Carol Tunt, Chris Parnell as Cyril Figgis, Amber Nash as Pam Poovey, Adam Reed as Ray Gillette and Lucky Yates as Algernop Krieger. Natalie Dew (The Capture, Sandylands) will join this motley crew as the voice of super agent Zara Khan in Season 14.

Over its decade-plus run, Archer racked up dozens of industry and critics’ honors, including two Primetime Emmy Awards (Outstanding Animated Program, 2016; Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media, 2016 [Archer Scavenger Hunt]) and a Creative Arts Emmy for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation in 2020 (lead background artist Jill Dykxhoorn, Archer: 1999 “Road Trip”), as well as three additional nods for best animated program and voice-over nominations for Benjamin and the late Jessica Walter, who voiced Sterling’s mother Malory Archer and was nominated in both 2021 and posthumously in 2022.
The series has also received over a dozen Annie Award nominations and has won the Critics Choice Television Award for Best Animated Series four times out of six nominations. Tyler has also been nominated for three NAACP Image Awards for her performance as Lana.
