London-based VFX and animation studio Jellyfish Pictures today announced two key senior animation hires, joining its feature film department in lead roles.
Industry veteran Louis Flores has joined the Jellyfish Animation Features team as Visual Effects Supervisor, bringing over 25 years of experience to the role. Formally Head of Effects at DreamWorks Animation and, most recently, VFX Supervisor at Mikros Animation, Flores has worked on iconic film franchises including Kung Fu Panda, Trolls, Croods and How to Train Your Dragon.

I’m looking forward to working closely with Natalie, Chrissy and the rest of the animation team to create amazing projects for our clients!”
Animation and VFX senior executive Chrissy Metge has been appointed Executive Producer, Animation. Formally at DNEG and Wētā FX, she boasts over two decades of credits that include Entergalactic, Ron’s Gone Wrong, Iron Man 3, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and The Hobbit franchise.

Metge and Flores will partner on a forthcoming, undisclosed animated feature production for a Hollywood studio and their appointments reinforce Jellyfish Animation’s continued expansion into the feature animation and high-end episodic content market. Jellyfish Pictures is also currently in production on an animated series for Netflix EMEA/Lime entitled Wereworld, based on a popular book series by Curtis Jobling, and a feature adaptation of one of Roald Dahl’s well-known children’s books for Netflix Feature Animation.
