Trailer: Dive into DreamWorks’ ‘Not Quite Narwhal’ on Netflix

This summer, young viewers will meet a unique magical blended family and a charming new animated friend as they swim and soar through the land and sea adventures of Not Quite Narwhal — premiering June 19 on Netflix.

The DreamWorks Animation preschool series is based on the children’s books by Jessie Sima, about an adorable little creature who is part narwhal, part unicorn and 100% himself.

Synopsis: Curious and fun-loving Kelp has always believed he’s a narwhal like the rest of his family under the sea, until the day he makes the most amazing discovery — he’s actually a unicorn! Rather than choose one or the other, Kelp embraces being both a narwhal and a unicorn, juggling his day-to-day life as he figures out how to navigate his two worlds: the ocean and land.

The 3D CG series is co-executive produced by Brian K. Roberts (Dragons: RescueRiders, Gabby’s Dollhouse), Nakia Trower Shuman and Sarah Katin (both writers on Pretzel and the Puppies, The Boss Baby: Back in Business and Fancy Nancy).

The voice cast features Nevin Kar as Kelp, Lucy Lowe as Scallop, Ryan Lopez as Cruz, Scarlett Kate Ferguson as Pixie, Sasha Knight as Ollie and Mixie Chen as Juniper.
