Sailing Adventure ‘Trimaros’ Embarks to Annecy with Mangouste Anim & DADA!

Mangouste Anim is charting a course to the Annecy Festival and MIFA market with Trimaros, an original 26 x 26 min. animated series about the magic of sailing. DADA! Animation has been tapped to assist in visual development and producing a teaser for the show, which also aims to raise awareness about the importance of protecting our oceans with young viewers.

With the support of the Beneteau Foundation, Trimaros was created by Mangouste Anim with the intention of inspiring children aged 6-10 with the thrill of seafaring, making the pastime more accessible and offering them the chance to embark on heroic adventures across five oceans and iconic bays around the world.

“Races and regattas are full of adventures and breathtaking escapades for girls and boys, and we want to bring this concept to life through vivid animation and powerful storytelling exploiting the tremendous potential of young skippers sailing all over the world in futuristic convertible boats,” said series creator and Mangouste Anim CEO Caroline Cornot.

Synopsis: Fifteen-year-old Alizée Keravel is one of the best skippers in the world. Aboard the Trimaros, her futuristic convertible boat, the young girl sets off on the Wind Ocean Race, the greatest sailing race of all time. Alizée’s goal? Win the race to save her family and her boat: the Trimaros. The challenges will be thrilling, the dangers many and the opponents tough, both on the surface … and below.

DADA! Animation is overseeing the entire creation of the teaser, from asset modelling to final rendering, which is underway in real-time 3D under the creative direction of Jean-Luc François (The Mysterious Cities of Gold).

“We are very proud to be working on this innovative project as the service studio and are grateful to Mangouste Anim for trusting us to bring their vision to life,” commented Jérôme Mouscadet, Co-Founder of DADA! Animation.

For more information on Trimaros, visit the Mangouste Anim MIFA stand (F12) from 13-16 June.
