VIZ Media has capped off another busy Anime Expo with their industry panel announcing their upcoming slate, panels for ZOM 100: Bucket List of the Dead anime and BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2 and signings with BLEACH’s Masakazu Morita and ZOM 100’s Kotro Takata.
Alongside the Saturday world premiere of ZOM 100: Bucket List of the Dead (a sneak peek at Episode 1), audiences were treated to a deep dive on all the gory details with manga co-creator Kotaro Takata. Fans also had a chance to win special prizes, and enjoyed an on-stage chat about the recording experience with voice actors Zeno Robinson, Abby Trott and Laura Post.
In the U.S, the series will simulcast on Hulu and Netflix premiering 2 a.m. PDT, July 9, with sunrise details for other streaming platforms to come. Based on the manga by Takata and Haro Aso, ZOM 100: Bucket List of the Dead is a VIZ Media co-production alongside Shogakukan and Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions Japan, with VIZ Media representing the anime in the North America, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand territories.
Takata also participated in the VIZ Media Industry Panel along with voice actor Masakazu Morita (voice of Ichigo in BLEACH), which revealed many announcements and hints at what awaits in fan-favorites series like Chainsaw Man, Spy x Family and My Hero Academia. VIZ updated manga lovers on the VIZ Manga Service and Shonen Jump streaming, as well as a new Naruto one-shot from creator Masashi Kishimoto (July 17) and Soichi, a new Junji Ito story collection (July 25). - Captain Tsubasa: Junior Youth Arc anime based off the popular sporting manga created by Yoichi Takahashi will launch in October.
- Naruto Shippuden Set 1 will present the first 27 episodes of the series on Blu-ray for the first time.

On Monday, voice star Morita returned to the stage to discuss the end of the beloved BLEACH franchise and what’s in store for his character, Ichigo, in BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2. Fans got to watch a sneak peek of Episode 1 from the second volume, and got first dibs on special announcements and giveaways.
New key art for the season was revealed, as was the planned launch of a themed BLEACH Café, opening July 8 in Los Angeles in partnership with Matte Black. This experience will featured photo opps, exclusive merch, special menu items and more (8500 Sunset Blvd.) Plus, BLEACH heads can now enjoy TYBW Part 1 on digital through iTunes, Google and Microsoft, and the BLEACH 4-FILM Collection is also available now.
BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2 based on Tite Kubo’s manga will return to Hulu in the U.S., Star+ in Latin America and Disney+ in select countries internationally on Saturday, July 8. Part 2 will premiere with episode one at 7:30 a.m. PDT on Hulu, with the simulcast in English and Latin American Spanish; and on Star+ and Disney+ with English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German and Italian subtitles.
