Adam Sandler’s ‘Leo’ Breaks Out of the Classroom in New Teaser

Netflix today debuted a teaser trailer for Leo, the new 3D CG-animated musical comedy-adventure starring Adam Sandler (Hotel Transylvania, The Wedding Singer) as a disgruntled classroom pet who dreams of life beyond the terrarium. The spot sneak peeks the charming animated adventures that await when the feature film debuts November 21.

Synopsis: Jaded 74-year-old lizard Leo has been stuck in the same Florida classroom for decades with his terrarium-mate turtle. When he learns he only has one year left to live, he plans to escape to experience life on the outside but instead gets caught up in the problems of his anxious students — including an impossibly mean substitute teacher. It ends up being the strangest but most rewarding bucket list ever…

Adam Sandler stars as the voice of Leo, alongside Bill Burr as his turtle roommate, Cecily Strong, Jason Alexander, Rob Schneider, Sadie Sandler, Sunny Sandler, Jackie Sandler, Heidi Gardner, Nick Swardson, Nicholas Turturro, Robert Smigel, Jo Koy and Stephanie Hsu.

Leo is directed by Robert Marianetti, Robert Smigel and David Wachtenheim, written by Smigel, Sandler and Paul Sado. The Netflix original movie is produced by Sandler’s Happy Madison label.
