Just released two days ago (Wednesday, September 27) — along with the full voice cast details — the new trailer for Walt Disney Animation’s 100th anniversary feature film Wish has enchanted the internet audience, tallying up a reported 66.5 million views across platforms, making it the most-watched spot for the studio since Frozen II in 2019. In a short amount of time, the Wish trailer surpassed the teaser released in April by ~20M views and set a record for Disney trailers on TikTok.
Arriving exclusively in theaters on November 22, Disney’s 62nd animated feature centers on a clever, idealistic 17-year-old girl named Asha (voiced by Oscar winner Ariana DeBose), who makes a wish so powerful that it summons an adorable, energetic little bundle of cosmic force, dubbed Star. This draws the ire of King Magnifico (Chris Pine), ruler of the magical kingdom of Rosas, who sees it as his royal prerogative to control the distribution of wishes.
Wish is directed by Oscar winner Chris Buck (Frozen, Frozen II) and Fawn Veerasunthorn (Raya and the Last Dragon) and produced by Peter Del Vecho Frozen, Frozen II) and Juan Pablo Reyes Lancaster Jones (Encanto).
