Today, Netflix announced a line up of guest cast who voice characters in the limited animated series Carol & The End of the World, premiering December 15 on the streamer. The show’s official trailer was also revealed.
Guest stars for the 10 x 30′ limited series include:
- Alison Brie
- Barkhad Abdi
- Danny Pudi
- Gillian Jacobs
- Kurtwood Smith
- Laurie Metcalf
- LeVar Burton
- Stephen Colbert
- Tim Heidecker
Created by Dan Guterman (The Colbert Report, Community, Rick and Morty), the series unfolds as a mysterious planet hurtles toward Earth, bringing humanity’s imminent extinction. While most feel liberated to pursue their wildest dreams, one quiet and always uncomfortable woman stands alone — lost among the hedonistic masses.
‘Carol & The End of the World is a love letter to routine. A show about the comforts of monotony. An animated and existential comedy about the daily rituals that make up the gaps that make up a life.’
— Creator Dan Guterman
The newly announced guest stars join a cast list comprising Martha Kelly, Beth Grant, Lawrence Pressman, Kimberly Hébert Gregory, Mel Rodriguez, Bridget Everett, Michael Chernus and Delbert Hunt.
Carol & The End of the World is executive produced by Guterman and Donick Cary (The Simpsons, Parks and Recreation, Silicon Valley), co-executive produced by Kevin Arrieta (Wilfred, The Last O.G.) Animation services are provided by Bardel Entertainment.
