Peacock Sneak Peeks ‘In the Know’ with Mike Judge Character Clip

In The Know

With the new stop-motion public radio sitcom In The Know due to bring liberalism-tinged workplace farce to screens on January 25, Peacock has debuted a new sneak peek clip featuring Sandy, the the out of touch culture critic voiced by co-creator Mike Judge (Beavis and Butt-head, Silicon Valley, King of the Hill). In the snippet, Sandy reviews “hot new releases” like The Godfather and Boyhood.

Along with Judge, the new series is created and executive produced by Zach Woods (Silicon Valley, The Office) and his writing partner, Brandon Gardner. Woods and Gardner also serve as showrunners. In The Know is animated by the stop-motion masters at ShadowMachine (Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio), produced by Universal Television.

Synopsis: Lauren Caspian is NPR’s third most popular host. He’s a well-meaning, hypocritical nimrod, just like you and me. He’s also a stop motion puppet. Each episode follows the making of an episode of Lauren’s show In the Know, in which Lauren conducts in-depth interviews with real world human guests. Lauren collaborates with a diverse crew of NPR staff. They are also puppets and nimrods.

Season 1 features live-action interview guests Kaia Gerber, Jonathan Van Ness, Ken Burns, Finn Wolfhard, Norah Jones, Tegan and Sara, Nicole Byer, Roxane Gay, Mike Tyson, Jorge Masvidal and Hugh Laurie.

In The Know premieres on Peacock with all six half-hour episodes on Jan. 25.
