The Animation Showcase Stocks Up on Oscar-Shortlisted Shorts, Animated Feature Making-ofs

While members of the Academy have access to their own screening supply for the 96th Oscars-eligible films for nomination voting (Jan. 11-16), it can be harder to find some of these titles for others. Luckily, the industry-focused free platform The Animation Showcase has announced that most of the 15 animated shorts shortlisted for the Academy Awards are available for members to enjoy!

Approved users who belong to the animation and/or motion pictures industry can head over to The Animation Showcase to watch 27 by Flóra Anna Buda, École des Nouvelles Images grad short Boom, Morten Tšinakov & Lucija Mrzljak’s Eeva, Saul Freed & Karni Arieli’s Wild Summon, Tal Kantor’s Letter to a Pig, Yegane Moghaddam’s Our Uniform, Stephanié Clement’s Pachyderme, Dave Mullins’ War Is Over! Inspired by the Music of John and Yoko and the Disney centenary short Once Upon a Studio, directed by Dan Abraham & Trent Correy.

“While feature films are widely accessible during the awards season, it’s not always the same for shorts, so I’m really happy to feature this selection of 2024 Shortlisted Animated Shorts for our members to enjoy,” said The Animation Showcase Curator & Founder Benoit Berthe Siward.

The platform is also offering a deeper look at these more-accessible animated feature films, with Making-Of featurettes for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-VersePerlimps, Nimona, Leo, Titina and Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget. Cinephiles are further advised that for only a limited time yet, the critically-acclaimed European imports Perlimps and Titina are available to watch in full on The Animation Showcase.

  2. Add your email address and work proof (IMDb, LinkedIn, Vimeo or other)
