The first trailer for 3D CG-animated feature Fox and Hare Save the Forest has arrived via Screen International, timed to the film’s world premiere on February 18 at the Berlinale cinema event (February 15-25). This new eco adventure is a follow-up to the television series Fox and Hare, which launched in 2019 and sold to more than 20 territories.

Synopsis: When Fox and Hare and their friends notice the water of the brook is rising, turning into a river and then into a lake that’s getting bigger and bigger, they need to find a solution. But that isn’t easy. When Owl disappears and everyone start acting like they are the boss of the forest, the problems are only increasing. How can they save the forest?

The English-language voice cast includes Dan Skinner, Rob Rackstraw, Jamie Quinn, Teresa Gallagher and Sarah Madigan.

The 70-minute family adventure is directed by series helmer Mascha Halberstad, who also directed the 2022 award-winning festival favorite Oink — another Berlinale Generation Kplus premiere. The screenplay was penned by series writer Fabie Hulsebos, inspired by the book Fox and Hare and the Forest Boss (Vos En Haas En De Bosbaas) by Flemish author Sylvia Vanden Heede.

Fox and Hare Save the Forest is produced by Bruno Felix & Femke Wolting for Amsterdam-based Submarine (Apollo 10 1/2); Eric Goossens & Toon Roebben for Belgium’s Walking The Dog (The Triplets of Belleville) and Pierre Urbain for Luxembourg’s Doghouse (Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman).
