iam8bit and WaterTower Music have teamed up to release two all-new soundtracks featuring music from classic 1990s cartoon Animaniacs and its 2020 reboot. Both vinyl LP sets are available for pre-order starting today (February 22).
Steven Spielberg Presents Animaniacs (Soundtrack from the Original Series) on vinyl features memetic classics like “Yakko’s World” and silly send-ups like “I Am the Very Model of a Cartoon Individual” — all fully remastered, performed by the Animaniacs themselves (Rob Paulsen, Jess Harnell and Tress MacNeille) and presented in their full glory on classic black vinyl.
iam8bit also tapped artistic alumni from both version of the show to create artwork for the set: Original character artist Dan Haskett (Scooby-Doo!, Looney Tunes), storyboard artist Tony Craig (Ben 10, House of Mouse) and Roman Laney (El Tigre, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time). The whole project was creatively directed by Gabe Swarr, executive producer of the Animaniacs revival.
The album is pressed on classic black vinyl and includes 17 classic tracks from the show. Pre-orders are open on iam8bit.com for $32.99.
