Sola Media has announced it has taken on international sales duties for the CG-animated feature film The Super Elfkins, from Akkord Film (Germany). The sequel to The Elfkins – Baking a Difference will be shopped by Sola at the European Film Market (EFM) in Berlin, opening Thursday, and will open in German theaters in December through Tobis Film.
Synopsis: Elfie’s world is turned upside down when she discovers the existence of a technically advanced Elfkin gang that, in stark contrast to Elfie’s own clan, is second to none when it comes to fun and thrill-seeking. Can Helvi’s friendship with Bo, the youngest gang member, reconcile the two Elfkin clans after more than 250 years?
The Super Elfkins is led by director Ute von Münchow-Pohl, who collaborated on the first Elfkins film released in 2019 as well as Laura’s Star and the Dream Monster. Münchow-Pohl also directed Rabbit Academy: Mission Eggpossible, Rabbit Academy: Guardians of the Golden Egg, Raven the Little Rascal and Raven the Little Rascal – The Big Race. The creative team also includes art director Heiko Henschel (The Amazing Maurice) and animation director Juan Jose Bravo (Animal Crackers).
Inspired by the works of August Kopisch, the 76-minute film is aimed at kids 5-11. The movie is produced by Akkord Film and co-produced by Arx Anima (Austria/Germany/Spain) and SERU Animation (Germany).
