London-based The Line Animation Studio, the BAFTA-nominated production outfit behind the Gorillaz music video “Humility” and campaigns for Gucci “Hallucination” and Marvel SNAP, is deepening its engagement with animation fans by launching a real-time production diary for their latest project. The behind-the-scenes peek has kicked off with a styleframe for the production, which is for and funded by Nouns DAO.
The studio notes, “This is a really exciting opportunity we’ve never had and probably never will have again.”
Nouns DAO (decentralized autonomous organization) is an NFT community revolving around quirky digital characters with assorted objects (nouns) for heads. The Nouns and their owner-fans have since expanded into short film, pitch contests and festivals, and last year announced their first feature film project.
Last Friday, The Line launched their production diary by publishing their styleframe across social channels. The studio will share more concept art, character designs and more every Friday in the lead up to their final delivery, and release of the film in March.
