Spiffy Pictures has promoted Emmy-nominated producer Caroline Bandolik to Vice President of Production for the Chicago-based creative development and production company.
Founded by brothers and children’s television veterans, Emmy Award-winning writer Adam Rudman and acclaimed puppeteer and director David Rudman, Spiffy Pictures specializes in both animated and live-action puppet-based entertainment for kids and families.
“Caroline has been an integral member of the Spiffy team for 10 years. She is an extraordinary producer with a wealth of experience working across both animated and live-action series,” the Rudmans commented. “We look forward to her continuing to bring her exceptional instincts and insight, along with her positive and hilarious nature, to every one of our projects.”
In her new role, Bandolik serves as supervising producer on PBS KIDS’ hit Emmy-nominated puppet series, Donkey Hodie, a co-production between Spiffy Pictures and Fred Rogers Productions. She is also supervising producer of the upcoming animated series Carl the Collector, PBS KIDS’ first show centering on autistic characters, which Spiffy Pictures is producing with creator and best-selling author/illustrator Zachariah Ohora. Additionally, Bandolik serves as producer of Spiffy Pictures and PBS KIDS’ long-running Emmy-nominated and Environmental Media Award-winning hit animated series Nature Cat.
Bandolik joined the company as a producer in 2014. Her previous producing credits include Nickelodeon’s Frankie & Frank, produced by Spiffy Pictures; Martha Speaks and Arthur for WGBH/PBS; and Nicktoons’ Edgar & Ellen.
