Acclaimed stop-motion animation studio Stoopid Buddy Stoodios has announced that Jonathan Schneider has been named the shop’s new President. In this role, he will oversee all aspects of the studio’s strategy, growth and operations alongside the creative team, including co-founders Seth Green, Matthew Senreich, John Harvatine IV and Eric Towner.
Before joining Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, Schneider had signed on to serve as President of digital-first IP development & distribution co. Invisible Universe (Qai Qai, Clydeo) in August of 2023. Prior, he was SVP, Operations & Business Strategy for Skydance Animation (Luck, Spellbound) for four years, after serving as VP of Strategy for Disney Television. He started his career working in development at Nickelodeon and Disney Television Animation.
Stoopid Buddy is the studio behind the longest-running stop-motion television series, Robot Chicken, which has aired on Adult Swim since 2005. The shop has also created the series Titan Maximum (Adult Swim), SuperMansion (Crackle), Buddy Thunderstruck (Netflix; the studio’s first family-targeted show), Hot Streets (Adult Swim), Crossing Swords (Hulu), Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K. (Hulu) and Ultra City Smiths (AMC). Stoopid Buddy is also known for creating animated episodes and segments for other popular shows like The Simpsons, Gravity Falls, The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants, The Muppets Mayhem, Woke, Adam Ruins Everything and others.
