It’s the end of the world (bummer!) and the struggle for the survival of the human race toils humorously on in Mulligan: Part 2. The next installment of the 2D-animated adult comedy from Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt co-creator Robert Carlock and executive producer Sam Means debuts Friday, May 24 on Netflix.
Pt. 2 Synopsis: Allegiances are tested when the grim realities of life on an empty, alien-ravaged planet start to sink in for President Mulligan and his rag-tag band of survivors. (No plumbing! No food! Movies are just plays now!) In order to rebuild society they’ll have to overcome feral cub scouts, a cruise ship with a deadly secret, and each other.
The half-hour series features the voices of Nat Faxon as de facto leader of humanity Matty Mulligan; Chrissy Teigen as First Lady Lucy Suwan; Tina Fey as single mom/super scientist Dr. Farrah Braun; Sam Richardson as historian Simon Prioleau, Matty’s right-hand man; Dana Carvey as self-appointed VP of Earth Cartwright LaMarr; and Phil LaMarr as the alien general Axatrax, held prisoner in the White House bowling alley.
Recurring cast members include Daniel Radcliffe as the party-boy King of England, Jeremy Fitzhogg; Ayo Edebiri as General Scarpaccio (a.k.a. Jayson Moody), the teenage head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; Ronny Chieng as Hong Kong billionaire Johnny Zhao; and Kevin Michael Richardson as Pentagon military cyborg TOD-209.
Mulligan is co-created, executive produced and showrun by Carlock and Means. Executive producers also include Tina Fey, David Miner, Eric Gurian, Scott Greenberg and Joel Kuwahara for animation studio Bento Box Entertainment.
